The theater production that I am going to be watching and review which is the footlik theater Des Plaines which present and put on the production of the Foreigner written by Larry Sue and directed by Tim Curtis. The theater production play the foreigner was presented at Footlik theater Des Plaines campus on Friday, March, 10, 2017. My Opinion of production of overall preformation would enjoyable and engaging for the theater audience in attendance. The basic plot of the play foreigner is about rural fishing lodge in Georgia with people have two faces saying thing that on their mind when they think there one is around.

I found the time period to be perfect time frame for when the play written for because the time period was 1984 for old fishing lodge because all the furinate look time furinate like when it look in the 1984 era. The foreigner play set look like old time 1984 Georgia fishing lodge for people to hangout as community and talk to one another. I found the actor costume to be perfect fit for the set and time period because all the actor costumes look like 1984-time period clothes like the one they would wear in that time era. I found the costume to be perfect fit for the actor that were wear it because it was portraying their character personality on stage. I found if any costume change to be perfect and not confusing to the audience because everyone knew why they need to change their costume during the theater production. I found the sound of the play the foreigner to be perfect because you could hear the actor sound all the way in the back row of the theater. I found the sound effect and music did blend in perfect with the play format because when they need music or sound effect they knew when to produce the effect or music to make it perfect play for the audience watching the play. I found that the special effect that they had blend in perfect with the format of the play for example when they would change the color of the light to represent the style of the play that they were going or the mood the play was going that scene. Overall the design of the production of play the foreigner was perfect because everything blend and work together to keep the produce, perfect for the audience to go see over and over again. The black box theater is a very intimate setting to begin with, and as I took my seat in the theater, I felt that intimacy. The theater was dark, and the audience was virtually silent before the production began. The first section began with a visiting professor discussing Apolinaria Lorenzana, her personal history and the history of California colonization. For example, what I found very different from the play was that when the interviewer asked:”What would you say to Mckinney if you see him again?” and the reaction of people was obvious, they were angry and saying that “I would definitely shake him, and ask him why would you do that!”.
