The Gestapo This history paper I will be doing is on the Gestapo hence the title. But I’m going to be talking about the Gestapo and the member also I will be talking about the other people that were involved with them. Also there consequences for their actions for the ones that fought or rebelled against the Nazi army the Gestapo took care of.
Gestapo was the Nazi Germany secret police. Gestapo had many people who were either apart of or involved with Gestapo. One of the people apart of it was Muller, Heinrish, he was chief of Gestapo, and his main partner was Adolf Eichmann he Heinrich’s mastermind for all his plans. Then there was the SS which were the secret state police. In 1936 more than 75 percent of Gestapo, but in 1945 Gestapo had 32,000 members but only 20 percent were SS (Biesinger).
White Rose was a group of student rebels against Nazism (Biesinger). They were known for the “White rose letters” which were the letters that were written to rebel against the Nazis for the Jews that couldn’t talk for themselves. So when they had found out about the white rose, they had evacuated the entire town where white rose was located. Then they put hundreds of them even if they weren’t Jews in a line and shot them in the head one by one. But for the White Rose it was worse because they were tormented for the crimes they had done. The Gestapo had put them up on poles and beat them under Hitler’s orders. Even after the White Rose members were beaten they would still preach for the Jews (Hughes & Mathews).
