The Globe Theater was built to be the primary stage for Playwright William Shakespeare. Under its thatched roof, it housed fairies, witches and ghosts, but it also became one of the most famous theaters in world history. Though the original perished by fire, a detailed replica can be seen today along the River Thames in England. There is so much more to be learned about what created and fueled the Globe, but also about what it would take to form a replica. A lesson learned from our project was that for there to be a functioning partnership, one must have a balance of conviction towards their own ideas, while also being able to see the reasons in another’s. To truly achieve a harmonious state between partners, both must strive to see the reasoning of their partner and find a way to compromise. A challenge that arose while the replica was being built was the issue of having to bring one’s arms over and fiddle with small details. This was difficult, because arching your arms in such a position to clear the wall is uncomfortable and it makes it difficult to be able to do your best work . One aspect of the construction that worked well was the intricacies of building the multi-layered stage in the Globe. To another it might look complicated, but it was actually simple to construct. I feel that my work ethic gradually increased as the deadline gradually drew closer. As for my partner, he showed that he was able to do work efficiently, even while I was not able to help him. This shows in the days that I was sick, and when he went into the I-Lab and worked by himself. Together, we made a good partnership, that I hope can extend into other
