Introductory Paragraph If you were given the chance would you run away from a horrible situation? Well that is what Howie and Laura did in the book “The Goats”, they ran away from an camp because they were stripped and marooned on an island by the other campers. This leads to a bunch of crazy events happening which leads to Laura’s mom finding them. So my overall posistion is to the question would Howie stay with Laura after the story, first: Howie and Laura share a very strong bond, second: Howie and Laura start developing a romantic relationship in the book, third: Howie and Laura depend on one another. According to The Goats Book and Brock Cole, page 184:"A stump loomed in front of them, splitting the path. They drifted apart, their clasped hands rising as it came between them.Hold on, Laura said. Hold on.”What Brock Cole is saying here is it shows their trust and bond that they have with each other as they come out to go with Laura's mom they hold each other hands and they come out of everything together. Now, some might argue that That Laura and Howie were forced together and it was just a coincidence that they met. But the argument that Howie and Laura share a strong bond. is still true. The key point is Howie and Laura have said many times that they need each other and need to stay together. They have always said they need each other and it wouldn’t make sense if they didn’t share a strong bond ,but they say they need to stay together and they are stronger
