Also in a short story, The Lottery Tessie Hutchinson’s husband got picked to die but Tessie got mad because he got picked and she said “Tessie Hutchinson shouted to Mr. Summers. ‘You didn't give him time enough to take any paper he wanted. I saw you. It wasn't fair’” (Jackson 5)! Finally in Little thing are Big a colored man is in the subway and there's a white woman with her kids. He wanted to help the woman but he was afraid because he doesn't know what she's going to do to him. In society, people are not treated the same. Also, the set artificial barriers and makes the society to break down. Most people can be mist trust by the skin color.

In the Gold Cadillac a man derived in the south and got pulled over by two white policies and said, “ ‘Whose car is this, boy?’ they asked (Taylor 25). “It’s mine,” he said. “You’re a liar,” said one of the policemen. “You stole this car.” “Turn around, put your hands on top of that car, and spread-eagle,” said the other policeman” (Taylor 25). This shows that if a person has an expensive car, people can't think that they stole it or something. This information explains that most people just want to make people feel bad or something.
Society can be traded wrong to people because of their skin color and race. In the Gold Cadillac people just be nice to the people that have the same skin color that they have.
