There are differences in what the reader thinks a character is like and what a character is written to be. Once the character is written, it is written with characteristics that create its personality. A good character is like a painting, the details that are put in, some details will stick out. So these details can make a resemblance of the setting, mood, or everything in the story, and those details are the characteristics that make a good protagonist. This is because Harrison is the only character that is “different” in the story aside from everyone in the book, from strengths and weaknesses. The short story is “Cask of Amontillado”. The protagonist in the Cask of Amontillado is Fortunato, this is because he is a hunter on his way to an island to hunt for new game. But Fortunato gets caught up in a different story than expected. He gets shipwrecked on a different island and is being held captive by a crazy leader of the island. In the end Fortunato has to survive and escape the island before the inevitable happens. He is a good example of a protagonist because Fortunato has characteristics such as being sneaky because one, he is one of the world's greatest hunters, and it's hard to believe that a hunter that is considered good, is noisy all the time. Fortunato is also brave for the fact that he is sailing over seas were any natural disaster can take
