In “Civil Disobedience”, Henry Thoreau talks about how he doesn’t agree with what his government does, but states his opinion on how he thinks it should be run. Henry Thoreau states in the “Civil Disobedience”, that “Let every man make known what kind of government would command his respect, and that will be one step toward obtaining it…..” What Henry Thoreau is saying is of every man states his opinion on how the government should be run and how the government can respect the people then you’re one step towards accomplishing it.
