I'm the movie Cinderella Man, James Braddock starts off as a strong middle-class regular American. The economy is going well. James and his family live in a nice neighborhood. James wins fights and overall is having a pretty good life as an American. James is an excellent well known boxer. James Braddock is married to a woman named mMae and they have three kids with eacother; two bioys and one girl. Maeb knew that boxing was his life from the moment she met him. Mae unlike other relatives cannot assure herself into watching his brutal fights. Mae supports her husband because it is at that time the only profession he can do that keeps a roof over their head. Just like every other American at that time James has a tremendous life changing experience. The economy is worse than it has ever been before. Everyone is going through one of the worst economic crashes in the history of america. This time is American History is known as the Great Depression. This was caused by the greatest stock market crash in 1929. Nearly half of the country was invested into stocks and when the stock market crashed almost all of the americans who invested into the stock markets lost their homes. James losing the fight in the beginning is a symbolization for the breaking point of every Americans life during the Beginning of the Great Depression. When James wins the fight at the end it symbolizes how most Americans were able to pull themselves out of the horrible depression. Throughout all the hardships James had faith in himself that he would be able to fight again and make enough money to provide for his family again because of that he was able to accomplish
