In “The Great Gatsby”, I’m going to talk about Tom & Gatsby. I’m going to show you their differences and similarities. Gatsby is a very nice, calm and mannered person. While Tom comes off very ill-mannered, rude, and has a big ego. These are just some differences but they can also come off similar and here’s why. Gatsby is not a wealthy man at all he grew up with no money in his life, a very poor man. But that didn’t stop him at all by becoming successful; he worked his way up to the riches. Gatsby was a much liked men. People respected him throughout town Gatsby would throw a lot of parties hoping this girl named daisy would come. Once she came to them, they started sneaking around; it was the girl of his dreams. He wanted her to be his spouse. But they had to keep it low-key. But he feels like he wasn’t getting the same amount from her as he was showing her. But Gatsby was a kind hearted person; people called him a war hero up to this point. …show more content…

He’s been wealthy his whole life. But he hasn’t been living to his expectations. He was cheating on his Spouse, Taking advantage of his friend nick. People say he’s got other women he’s talking to in New York. People have started to recognize that he treats his wife like complete trash. He really doesn’t’ know to act because he doesn’t know to talk to people clearly and especially women he acts very disrespectful towards to and he thinks it’s okay because he has a lot of wealth. But people know about tom and the way he acts and the bad things he’s done and for that reason he is very different then
