In the book The Last Olympian, Percy Jackson and the demigods try to protect Mount Olympus, the headquarters of the gods, from being destroyed by Luke. However, Luke was possesed by Kronos, the lord of the titans. A year before, Luke betrayed the gods by joining the titans' cause to obliterate Mount Olympus. However, at the beginning of the book, Percy and his friends learned about Luke's childhood, which made them realize why he turned evil. During the final stages of the book, Luke killed himself to get rid of Kronos, which is why I think he is a hero. Luke's childhood was not very pleasant. His father Hermes, never showed up at his house or communicated with Luke. This made him angry at his dad. His mother tried to become the oracle, which went horribly wrong, causing her to go insane.
