Imagine Being beaten, starved, and sleeping in tiny rooms with 30 other people everyday of your life. The holocaust is one of the worst time periods in history. Millions of people murdered because of their beliefs, looks, and even because of a mental disease. The nazis were the worst people in the world at that time, murdering and torturing innocent people because they thought they were dominant. Millions of people were impacted by the holocaust because they were separated from their families, starved, and the mass number of deaths..

As you can see “People at Buchenwald concentration camp were all skin and bones.” In the image all you can see is these poor men who were so skinny you could see their whole rib cage. People are meant to have some meat on them, so they can look healthy. It is not healthy if you can see their bones through the skin. In the text Wiesel presents “My father had a present for me: a half ration of bread.” These people were so starved that a present was a piece of bread. Bread is not very filling so they had to live of being hungry. When you don't eat enough ever your body will eat the fat away and that's why these people were so skinny, which I learned in health class.
