“Life is always going to be chaotic. But what I know for sure is that I want to go through it all with you.'' Many iconic lines from the movie Shotgun Wedding directed by Jason Moore and written by Mark Hammer hint at the idea of trust. In the movie bride and groom Tom, and Darcy is getting married at a destination wedding in the Philippines. Hours before the wedding begins a group of gunned men take their families hostage and it is up to them to save them. Throughout the film, everyone in the story has a trial with a person they love. The movie shows us that trust is essential in any form of love whether it is between the person you chose to marry or close friends.

When Darcy is hiding in the bunker with the resort owners, Margy & Ace after Tom surrendered himself to keep them hidden, she asks them a question about how they are able to keep their relationship together and not mess things up. Margy replies “It is special but it is not magic we just made a vow. We've messed things up thousands of times, but when we break something we fix it.” This shows that Margy & Ace even though they mess things up in their relationship they trust each other enough to know that they will fix what is wrong in the end. Their relationship shows people that if they are able to find someone that they trust to get them through anything no matter how much they may disagree it is a special thing, and a great person to spend their life with. A final example of trusting loved ones is in one of the last ending scenes where Tom asks if they want to start over due to Darcy being scared to get married. He asks but Darcy replies by saying she doesn't want to start over then gets down on one knee and proposes. Tom asks if she is sure, and she replies “I am terrified. Life is always going to be chaotic. But what I know for sure is that I want to go through it all with you.” This explains that even though Darcy is scared she knows that she trusts Tom enough to be confident in marrying him.
