This experience helped me more about being the head of an organization. Being about of this club is very beneficial because it is basic preparation of becoming a leader. Being a leader of an organization such a DECA speaks volumes

The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
Before 10th grade, I had an insufficiently rigorous course load to yield a competitive GPA. After taking the most rigorous classes for a year and boosting my GPA, I have decided to help my classmates tackle the competition at my school by helping them organize their schedules and classes for future academic years. I have reached out to these classmates through class projects and tutoring sessions. So far, I have helped about five teenagers become competitive. I have also frequently volunteered at a local food pantry.
As Battalion Commander, I have gained valuable leadership qualities and confidence in leading our core as a team in a disciplined and professional manner; something that was already being implemented while working towards achieving Eagle Scout. My interest in math and science started at a young
I thought a lot about what I wanted to do and that experience with the Challenger Baseball Program and Daniel stuck out. I finally knew what I was passionate about and what I was meant to do. Knowing that I am finally striving towards something that I am passionate about is what makes me extremely motivated to reach my goals to become an educator. The only thing that can stop me from achieving my goal is myself. That will never
This determination has continued through high school where I was accepted into the Scholars Academy. Beyond academics, my determination plays a big role in my life after school. Having always been a fan of the sport of surfing, at a young age soon after moving to Miami, I decided to teach myself how to surf. Having only
The DWYA assessment believes that my personality is described by the four letters, ISTJ. I have no idea what that stands for, but based on the actual summary it gives on what I am like, I am inclined to agree with a majority of what it says. It describes me as being careful, patient, thoughtful, and practical, all of which I myself believe I am. I also agree when it says that my shortcomings include me not considering choices not thought of before and focusing too much on the present. An example of me not focusing enough on the future is when I procrastinate constantly and am highly unwilling to give up too much of my free time in order to study because I enjoy reading fiction and playing videogames.
When I first did the vet science CDE, I was pretty set that I wanted to be a veterinarian, but by doing the contest I was able to learn more about the job, and that it just wasn't the career for me. So I started looking into other careers, discovered wildlife ecology, and began to particpate in events and take courses that would prepare me for said career. I tried out entomology judging, and really developed a passion for insects by competing- an interest I would not have known if not for the FFA. I feel that some of the major attributes that I can apply later in life, have come through my
My junior year I joined this club called DECA which prepares future entrepreneurs for finance, marketing, hospitality, and management in high school and in college. Students compete against other students in different categories. I decided to do DECA because I really liked all of the
Now, I understand that many things can get in the way. You can get distracted by the negativity around you or you might be a little shy, like me. FCCLA has honestly impacted that though, I have been able to meet new people and learn how to deal with different situations that I’m put into everyday. When I attended the region 2 meeting I learned tons of new things. I learned we needed to make goals in life or we won’t accomplish much and life is long, but goes by fast, so we need to make the most of it.
I was determined to learn how to play video games, I showed them I can climb to the very top of the tree, and I developed a passion for sports. And now a few years later being apart of SkillsUsa has boost my confidence level. I also believe that becoming Regional President can give me that push to be a better me and I can inspire others to become better being themselves. Being commitment to SkillsUSA for the past 2 years has been one of the greatest experiences I've had during my high school years.
We strive to inspire our students towards leadership, innovation, and self-improvement. As a team we believe everyone enters the program as a small flickering spark, but exits a strong flame. As we enter our 7th year, our goals are to encourage coopertition, increase the influence we have in our community, and keep our team a family.
This prepares myself for my future because I am going to college to secure a degree in education for elementary students, once I graduate high school. These are examples of how I contribute to various teams and a small
Santa Teresa community has given me numerous opportunities to become an upright adult. I achieved unimaginable awards through programs on campus such as MESA, FBLA, and the Multimedia program. Joining the MESA program and FBLA club had allowed me to connect with various friends through teamwork, which encouraged me to go beyond my comfort zone. Meanwhile, the multimedia program lets me explore the skill sets of the professional illustrators, which is needed in various workforces today. Not only those had assisted my growth, but the school badminton team also had helped maintain a healthy lifestyle while competing against affable opponents.
