Should College Football Replace the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) with a Playoff System? Many football fans including me argue that a playoff system should replace the BCS. They contend that it is the only fair way to determine a national champion and that the BCS method is subjective, profit-motivated, and sometimes leaves the best teams out of the championship game. They should change this because it doesnt make sence to have college football teams go against each other in a national championship while eight other top teams play in four bowl games.they should have playoff games like in the NFl instead of having a lot of Bowl games. This was formed in 1998 I strongly disagree with the playoff system they use in college its just not fair to others because It 's not fair because the sec, acc, big 12, PAC 12, and big 10 automatically have the playoff spots with one champion being left out.

The NCAA insists that it does; saying that collegiate sports is not, and should never be, considered a business. Contrary to the implication of the NCAA collegiate sports, specifically men’s football and basketball, have over the recent years hauled in a yearly revenue similar to that of the NBA. Despite all of this, I still think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages because some people will take advantage of the system and make college sports appear unfair. Given the challenges created by the Transfer Portal, more restrictions are needed. One possible solution is to limit the number of transfers that a team can accept each year. This would help to reduce the concentration of talent at certain schools and would help to level the playing field for smaller programs. Title IX Prior to June 23, 1972, when the Title IX act was passed, few opportunities existed for female athletes. The Title IX act, pioneered by Dorothy Height, opened up new doors for women and girls. This act was a huge success for all female athletics, as women and girls alike began to be treated more equality in the sports world Female sports went very unrecognized before Title IX. Elementary schools rarely offered competitive sports programs for girls, and college girls athletics were intramural rather than extramural; meaning the girls would compete against other girls from their school rather than girls from other colleges and universities. An Argument for College Sports Ever since I can remember I have been a die-hard Oklahoma fan. No doubt this is due to my father’s love for team, which was passed down by his father. I guess it runs in our family, because every Saturday during football season most of my is family huddled tightly around our TV watching the game.
