BACKGROUND NCAA Team Works represents the ongoing community outreach efforts of the NCAA National Office staff, partners and local organizations. The Team Works brand was developed in 2012 with the goal of providing an umbrella brand to encompass all NCAA community outreach efforts. The NCAA has a corporate and social responsibility throughout the communities in which we host championships. Through initiatives such as service learning projects, school engagement, legacy restorations, and disaster relief, NCAA Team Works engages youth and communities that might not have the opportunity to attend the championship, but participate in activities tied to those events. People believe that they can change their path or what is happening around them. But, most of the time one cannot. So, they end up with a realization of what is truly important; what they should be doing or how they should be acting..

This kind of community assessment brings about opportunities to address the needs of vulnerable populations and makes sure that resources are being equally distributed which further enhances the functionality and development of group relations in the
”Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. ”(John F. Kennedy). Changing is a very hard and tiring. No one likes to change, no one likes to be told what to do.
Why is being in a community so important? Being in a community is so important because everyone needs a shoulder to lean on. Everyone needs a person they can talk about their problems to. In the story The Outsiders ,written by S.E Hinton, tells the story of a boy named Ponyboy who’s parents died in a car accident, who is having trouble fitting into the gang he is in.
I believe community is an important aspect to all our lives. Community builds character and, in some cases, defines who we are. There are different forms of community, such as “community standards” and “community action”, that ultimately bring individuals together whether they agree or disagree with one another. In his book Our Divided Political Heart, E.J. Dionne discusses what community is and its significance to society. Through my writing, I would like to specifically talk about “community action”, “community standards” and “community policing”.
They need to be willing to change or else things will fall
”(Twelvetrees, 2001) It takes special skills to work within communities especially if the community is not very open to suggestions and the issue to be addressed is sensitive. To be effective in community work, it takes a collaborative effort and partnership to bring about changes and advance the community. When working with communities, the planned change model as developed by Kirst-Ashman & Hull (2009) is a tool that can be utilized.
The word community is explained by the Oxford Dictionary as “people of a district or country considered collectively, especially in the context of social values and responsibilities; society.” A community is determined by shared characteristics which could include location, culture, race, or beliefs. The common characteristics of a community can also dictate who belongs and who does not. Maycomb County was a community with a defined structure.
Hence, leaders need to be prepared and manage readiness to the alteration by making an environment of honesty and transparency for their team as a successful implementation of the change is unlikely. Employees must be part of the change hence, they must to be told about the requirement of the change and be given a reward to motivate to embrace the change. If change be accepted by all recipients it can be implemented quickly and effectively. The leaders’ attitudes and behaviors have both positive and negative alterations on the change success. Therefore, leaders of organizations need to try and develop a more framing and shaping behavior, adding skills on themselves to change and motivate the subordinates towards the embracing the change.
A better informed and empowered community will be setup. It help in giving practice of doing community based decision making for benefit of major population. It has reduced the gap of people from technology and eliminated the factor of digital divide. Participation in the progress of community has broken the gap between lot of residents as
