Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems. Unlike electrical and computer engineers, computer scientists deal mostly with software and software systems. Principal areas of study within Computer Science include artificial intelligence, computer systems, and networks, security, numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering, and theory of computing. Although knowing how to program is essential to the study of computer science, it is only one element of the field. Computer scientists design and analyze algorithms to solve programs and study the performance of computer hardware and software. If you see the world as a puzzle to be solved, you’ll like the mysteries and complexities found in the realm of computer programming. If you’re inspired by riddles and like the challenge of fixing what doesn’t work, you’ll enjoy programming. Think of programming as digital tinkering—sometimes you’ll have to dig into the “guts” of a computer program and try to work backward to figure out how to solve an issue. “Coding is what makes it possible for us to create computer software, apps, and websites. Your browser, your OS, the apps on your phone, Facebook, and this website – they’re all made with code.” (www.codeconquest.com, 2018). Coding is what makes the use of computers easier and the love of coding will allow the process of coding more confidently. Therefore, a penchant for problem-solving is necessary if considering to learn how to program or study computer science. The end Studies prove that if you are considering computer science as the field to study the cognitive process to learn to program are highly to be considered to be successful in the field. Patience is also the key of success to every career, of course in this field the technology is changing rapidly so adapting yourself and staying on trend is necessary and lastly if you don’t have a passion for what you are doing you wont give it your best so a penchant for problem-solving is what makes a great computer
