Conflicts of interest may influence some public health leaders to leave or stop participating in one or both projects.
Consent
Consent is also an ethical issue that must be considered when implementing this project. Consent would be required by students and parents, due to the particular interventions. These interventions involve the revisions of certain parts of the Durham Public School curriculum, which may conflict with a person’s cultural viewpoints or current health status. This is why all aspects of the consent process would have to be successfully addressed.
