Is seeing really believing? Or is it just our brains trying to clarify a situation? But just because something is seen doesn 't mean that it is always believed. Or is it? Deception is an odd thing that can make people view something as simple as a remote control as something that will change your life forever. But how is that you might ask? How can someone reach into someone 's mind a take a simple inanimate object and turn it into a product that could eventually cure cancer? With that deception, it can not only get people to spend thousands of dollars on a makeup brush or some other new trend but it can also deceive people into believing others easier. But with all societies, there is something that always seems to be universal… societal structures. Some run off of monarchs others focus more on a dictatorship and then there is what the United States stands for, a democracy. Though it might seem like these societal standards are based on a consensus but they in the long run actually are not. These social structures are built off of control, manipulation, and deception. As a result, they are the reason as to how what and why people view when it comes to mass media or propaganda heard. But because supreme leaders or elected officials are in such high offices they can control what is being portrayed on tv 's, in newspapers, and even what is being reported to the people of the nation. They control every ounce of our lives. But it 's not as if people protest. Yes, there might be a few people here and there refining the government 's agenda. But in today 's society, the government has become so clever in the way they hid and implement their agendas into our daily lives, all the way through our children 's textbooks to the gossip that is spread around town. We not only as Americans but we as a citizen of Earth have become so consumed with technology and social media and that is exactly how they get us. That is their niche and that is how they capture the attention of all. Through the phones that are in everyone 's pockets of the desktops that are in everyone 's classes or even the tablets that are on everyone 's counters.
