The aim of this essay is to discuss gender, the equal and unequal rights between the sexes, how people are constructed in our societies, and how they differ in general from the past to the present, how everything has changed. “We should stop defining each other by what we are not and start defining ourselves by who we are.” (Watson, E. 2014) There are many inequalities between men and women and as such, one of the inequalities can be said to fight natural actions coming either from God or from nature, women and men are created as two distinct beings. “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and they desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee” (Genesis 3:16 cited in Haralambos, M. et al 2008) Should men have power over women? …show more content…
