Wampole identifies the disease in an over-abundance of irony, she pinpoints the hipster archetype as its primary distributer, and recognizes the localities from which it is dispersed. Wampole calls the hipster a symptom of ironic living and not the affliction itself. With that being said, I believe, Wampole makes a claim of value, in which she’s firmly making a judgment that expresses the disapproval of irony.
Wampole seems earnest. She appears to be actually tired of irony, and tired of those hipsters, and also concerned about what we’ve suffered because of it: lack of good conversations, face-to-face communication. In a personally opinion, Wampole short article appeals to logic. Christy Wampole persuade her audience with evidence and reasoning.
I agree and disagree with Wampole. Let’s take a look at the definition of irony, the expression of one’s meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous effect. So again, in today’s society that is new way of communication. The world revolves every day and everyday there is something new that has developed.
