Knowledge management is the right knowledge is supplied to the right person at the right time. Knowledge sharing id the process through which explicit or tacit knowledge is communicated to other individuals. Knowledge sharing and storing is the important part in knowledge management. Nowadays, IT is very useful in knowledge sharing. For example, content management system create, distribute and manage the contents on the intranet, extranet and website. We live in the world which is full of advanced technology, a lot of things are invented and innovated by mankind. Web 2.0 tool become an important invention now. Web 2.0 tool such as social media and networking sites have empowered organisations to create, distribute and gather information outside the customary hierarchical information flow. (Uthayasankar Sivarajah, Vishanth Weerakkody and Zahir Irani, n.d) Web 2.0 platform contain blogs, social media, wikis and RSS feeds. (Appendix 3) By using Web 2.0 tool is encourage the employees work together and threw out some idea. The pooling ideas will become the sources of problem resolution product development. For example, the company should solve the limitation of laser keyboard issue, the employees can make some idea and give some opinion through Web 2.0. After discussion, they can choose the best idea to become the resolution. In addition, Web 2.0 tool will boost productivity, foster innovation and create enhanced value. In Web 2.0 tool contain large amount of data and knowledge. The innovative product may come from the large amount of ideas and knowledge. The employees can read and understand these knowledge. After read these knowledge, they should analyse which knowledge is useful and which is useless. The useful knowledge may produce the innovative product. The employees are come from different department and they work together for the special project. For example, the company is desired to develop the function of the laser keyboard. Therefore, the company can pick a few members form different department such as IT department and marketing department. A team must have a head to in charge and decide anything. The project manager play a main role in the project team. He not only know how to play a competent general manager and also possess the general knowledge about the project. He or she should know the departments’ job and task and know their operation to make sure the progress rate of the project. Through cross functional project team, the employees work together, they can understand each other such as operation, culture and various knowledge. For example, marketing employees never be in touch with IT expertise knowledge. After work together, they can learn from IT employees. They will know how to process the data and network supporting. It will become the new knowledge for marketing employees. The explicit knowledge will transferred among each department. Furthermore, the informal knowledge network will form.
