Recently, I’ve become a resident of Miami, Florida. Previously, I lived in Haiti, where I was born, then moved to the Bahamas as a child, now in Miami. Living in these different environment made me the mature human being of today. Miami, known for its beaches, is extremely attractive to numbers of individuals from across the world. Haiti is very different from Miami in numerous ways, especially when it comes to the type of food we eat, to the type of attitude we enriched our children with, also the system of education and work provided. Respectively, all places contain bright and dark sides, ups and down, beneficiary and deficit causing the favoritism inconvenient to maintain when acknowledge of both places.
As opposed to Haiti, Miami provide plenty jobs for its inhabitant, which an independent person would prefer instead of waiting on someone to charity something for you in order to maintain a life going. When comparing Haiti to Miami, Miami is enormous and contains a greater population than the average in Haiti. Moreover, I prefer the food from Haiti because of the natural production that carried lots of nutrition, vitamins, and remedies that will not only cure you from what most hospital can’t but also keeps you healthy and risk free when it comes to certain disease. The variety of jobs and the unlimited education provided in Miami forced me to realized I dislike being depend on others to provide me with survival gears. I’m convinced both of these places are my home since both are part of my life, I can never abandon the Haitian part of me and I couldn’t forget what I learned living in Miami even if tried.
