Bad Mankind Are humans good or bad by nature? Bad mankind or good mankind is a problem that has repeatedly been talked throughout humanity. For thousands of years, theorists have debated whether we have an amiable attitude that is corrupted by society, or an essentially awful nature that’s is held within proper limits by society. Are we born with a sense of morality or do we arrive blank slates, waiting for the world to teach us right from wrong? It's a dangerous and unbelievable that some people are innately good while others are innately evil or bad. Man needs to work with nature, not against it. According to Rousseau, nature is man’s state before being influenced by outside forces. At the same time, he asserts: “If man is left… to his own notions and conduct, he would certainly turn out the most preposterous of human beings. The influence of prejudice, authority… would stifle nature in him and substitute nothing.” Humans in nature are good but when it comes to sharing goods with others, selfishness and egoism appear which creates the evil. While living in society, people observe what others have and they wish to own similar things, but if they don’t have the ability to possess those things, jealousy appears, and thus they seek bad ways like stealing, robbing, making crimes to achieve their wish. As we can see now, for example two developed countries fighting against each other for their own benefit, this is called selfishness. Instead of helping each other to create peace, we make war. Technology is the essence of change in business and society, however it destroys humanity. Today’s education is a failure because it has exaggerated technique. So basically babies prefer to show preference for nice people over mean people. Study after study results that the human baby is always feeling positive with helpful people and always negative against unhelpful, unsocial people. Studies show us that babies are born with an innate sense of justice. However, the good and the bad are the product of biological evolution, the child can act good and bad according to the circumstances. Furthermore, according to religion, from the Christian way of thinking, we are all born sin. Sin is a general human problem, it’s something we all do.
