CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION This chapter discusses the introduction of the study containing background of the study, problem of the study, objectives of the study and definition of key terms 1.1 Background of the Study Debate is a discussion about an issue or problem. The formal debate consists of two sides: one supporting the issue and one that opposes it. “Debating involves... It is one of tools for politicians to promote their capability to the society. In presidential debate they can give their argument, ideas and also program that will be done by the candidate. This debate attract many people to pay attention and watch the debate. This debate became very famous all over the world. It does not only take a lot of attention of political observers but also the civilians. According to Nielsen rating data cited in Cable News Network, there are 84 million viewers of the debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on their home TV. The debate was broadcast live by 13 television broadcasts. This debate is interesting because America is one of the powerful country in the world that the choice of president will affect the regulation applied in the world. Therefore this debate attract a lot of attention from world
