When I hear the word Inida . The first thing strikes in my mind is ' 'UNITY IN DIVERSITY”.
For this essay I had chosen two topics that is CASTE AND RELIGION . I would like to tell about the caste that have and religion in previous days, how people treated at that time and how it was now in India .For me it is very difficult to define caste and religion. Now am going to write about what are the thoughts and ideas towords the India. I would like to connect these to travellers ,maps and nationalists.The word caste is derived from the Spanish and Latin word ' CASTA 'which means race or bread .It came in the 16th century.Caste means any firm or hard system of social distinctions.The origion of caste system has many theories behind It. According to vasco da Gama the city of Calcutta was populated by full of Christian .They look like yellow brownish in color .coming to their physical appearance church and they had long hair and big beards. some of them are cut their hair short or shave the head or they just had a bunch of hair on their head and its look like a crown it is the sign that they are Christian. they also wear mustaches .it clearly shows that actually they were mustaches because in his writing she wrote that they were mustaches and also they wore too much of gold .The dressing sense can be described as follow as they din not were shirts their body was bare and they covered their limbs with cotton clothes .According to their economic conditions they wore dress like cotton like which was considered respectable rest of the people mange to ware the best dresses that they have According to him the womens of this country are ugly and they are very short in height .They wore lot of jewels of gold around and they wore bracelets rings and precious stones .but they are very friendly positive and sympathetic to wards others and also it would seems good natured and also being angry .But when he looked at them first time they look like possessive and uneducated constantly that they was stupids . Coming to their religious they goes to church (a Hindu temple). The church looks like (Monastery) it means a building that occupied by a community of members living under religious vows .
