The trend of people eating fast food is increasing dramatically. Fast food is the type of easily processed food, which there will usually be a counter ready to serve and drive-thru lane in the store. Mcdonald is one of the most popular fast food stores in the world. The statistic of Mcdonald revenue has shown that from 2005 to 2015, the revenue has increased up to 6.29 billion US dollar (“Revenue of Mcdonald’s,” 2016). This clearly shows that the trend of people eating fast food in increasing over time. The cause behind the popularity of fast food is its convenience, which this increasing trend can directly impact people’s health.

The cause of the popularity of fast food is its convenience. There are two factors of its convenience which are its speed of serving food and accessibility. The goal of fast food is the serve the meal as fast as possible, which will give the customer a more convenience especially those who do not have much time for the meal. Take for example Mcdonald, they use a very large grilled where the staff can grill burger simultaneously and they will keep it in the aluminum plate where there is a temperature control in order to keep it warm for a few hours (Wilson, n.d.). This makes their food always ready to serve. Another factor that can save customers’ time is the drive-thru service.
