“A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity. It dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.” Agatha Christie is accurate in her description of a mother’s love, a fascinating bond that binds a mother to her child. This bond creates a great sense of responsibility, which contributes to the mother’s sacrifices done is order to take care of her child’s life. In the past, when women were expected to grow up to become housewives, those sacrifices were minimal, but as society progressed, women became increasingly acknowledged as equal to men, and consequently became as ambitious, leading to increased sacrifices for motherhood. It has been proven time and time again that women are equal to men in matters of intellect and wisdom, consequently it would only be logical to believe the fact that women are as able as men, thus, with no other significant argument to dismiss women, it would be absurd to prevent the latter from getting employment. Since mothers are essentially women, the latter statement should also apply to them. And yet, some would still argue that mothers should not work. Unfortunately for such people it has been proven time and time again that not only mothers can work, but also excel in their professional lives as well as their maternal duties, despite the time spent away from the children as (Warrel, 2013) claims, which in other words means that mothers specifically can work if they wish too. In the most complicated of cases, where specific conditions mean that the mother cannot follow the same work routine or fulfill all of her duties within the workplace, compromise can be achieved , such as the now common working from home scenario, that would allow the mother to overcome most difficulties. (Poduval, et.Al., 2009). As for those who claim that a working mother fails at being a mother, statistical evidence would prove otherwise, as an increasing number of mothers are electing to leave the household and work, without any significant damage to the relationship that they share with their husbands and children.
