In the past few years, bees have become quite a topic of discussion. With the bee population in decline, people are concerned about future shortages of fruits and vegetables. While on a global scale bee populations are shrinking, they are quite popular on County College of Morris’ campus. Many people have been complaining about the rather aggressive bees here on campus, and are unsure why they are so belligerent. The bees most seen on campus are yellow jackets. Usually, they keep to themselves unless they are threatened, so it is unknown why they are different. “The bees are really aggressive by the sports fields. I got stung the other day at practice on my pinky finger,” Jaida Schettino, a communications major said. “It seems like the bees are getting worse and worse by the day!
