Spring of 1934 is a very interesting chapter. It shows the hardships that Billie Jo and her family go through. The main idea of this section is the dust bowl is a hard thing to live in. The dust constantly blows her family around. Looking for food because the dust withered all of your crops doesn’t seem like a good way to spend your spring. The dust is a hard thing to live in.
