The third cause of the Dust Bowl was short grass prairie. In Doc B, it states that a lot of the grass was mostly Buffalo grass for the animals to eat. This ties in with the first and second paragraph because the soil was killing the grass. How it was killing the grass was since there was so much soil not being watered, the grass would die as well. The animals would starve as well since the grass was not watered.
The Dust Bowl was a terrible experience during a horrible time. In the 1930s post World War I America had a total collapse of the stock market causing the Great Depression affecting the economy on a global scale, but hitting hardest at home in the United States. Out of the Dust takes place in 1934, in Joyce City, Oklahoma. The book is about a girl named Billie Jo Kelby and her life struggles during the Oklahoma Panhandle and The Great Depression. The Oklahoma Panhandle, or the Dust Bowl, is a series of dust storms that happened to Texas and Oklahoma in the 1930’s. The dust storms took away water and made it hard for people to farm and grow crops.

The Dust Bowl was a disastrous event that lasted for multiple years in the 1930s. Dust, soil, and dirt ruined people’s lungs by being in the air. When too much of it is inhaled in the body, people may die. This has been one of the most horrifying events in all of United States of America.

It’s hard to get through a day during the great depression. Everyday, my family worries about my father's job. Now there's one more thing to add to the pile of worries. The dust bowl. The storms have been going on for about 3 years now.
My first pinewood derby race It was my first pinewood derby race and my mom and I were driving to Tom’s house (one of her co-workers) to make the car. When we got to the house, we got out and went to the workshop to get the shape of the car. When he opened the door to the workshop, I saw so many power tools, hand tools, and utilities. We first went to i’m pretty sure it was the band saw to make the shape of the car. Of course I wanted to use the tools all by myself since I was a third grader, but like always, my mom told me I had to be helped with the tools and I couldn’t use the saw because I was too young.
