“What’s the part of the worm in the middle that looks like a band aid called?” “Will bananas stay fresh if you put them in the freezer?” “Who won the world series in 2003?” The most common response to any of these questions would be “I don’t know, google it.” The internet is arguably the most prevalent source for information in the current generation and will continue to be for future generations as well. Going to the library to look up information in an encyclopedia is almost unheard of. The internet has become a resource and source of entertainment so addicting that few people can spend less than an hour without checking it. Whether the internet is doing more harm than it is good is questioned. In the novel The Shallows Nicholas Carr writes
