Killer Angels
The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara is a historical novel that is based on the events and dates of The Battle of Gettysburg during the late 1800s. The novel is approach in third person consisting of a timeline of significant dates and events as The Battle of Gettysburg is taking place in action. The battle between the Union and the Confederacy. The novel starts with the first date which is June 29, 1863 to the day when the battle is over which is July 3, 1863. Which is taken place in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Killer Angels was a war novel that explained the actions and emotions going through the war for those who weren't there able to see it for themselves.

Then it leads on the first day leading to the Battle of Gettysburg which was June 29, 1863. On the Confederate side, General Longstreet sends a spy to find the location of the Union Army. The spy, Harrison, returns to Longstreet and gives him the location and the number of men in the Union. Longstreet doesn’t believe him because he already sent General J.E.B Stuart for the same reason but Harrison convinces Longstreet. Longstreet meets up with Robert E. Lee and tells him the news and they decide to move onto Gettysburg. On the Union side, Colonel Chamberlain is informed that 120 mutineers are being sent to him to march west to Pennsylvania, Gettysburg. Then General John Buford sends two brigades who are in search of the rebels. Both brigades charge the town and the rebels withdraw. Buford remains in Gettysburg to send a message to General John Reynolds. Buford army stays and occupies the hills until Reynolds arrives. Lee says they won’t attack because they wouldn't want to move. Chamberlain heads towards Little Round Top and argues with a Southern, Kilrain. Longstreet orders the Confederates to attack the Union on their left side. Then he orders the army attack once more and suddenly the Union army was gone. Longstreet is in distressed and orders his men to a frontal attack on Peach Orchard. After going through series of battles, Lee orders a retreat. Figuring out a plan, Lee demands his army to attack Cemetery Ridge while Stuart attacks through the back of the Union
