A human decoration? That’s a bit gonzo. If this pleases your interest, you might want to read “The Landlady” by Ronald Dahl. The Landlady is a short fictional story. The main idea of the Landlady is Billy Weaver is taken by the landlady’s kind, gentle nature and she had a plan used to obviously kill two other boys. The theme is “don’t judge a book by its cover” because the landlady seemed very gentle and sweet, when she’s really crazy. The setting of the story is in Bath, London, at a bed a breakfast that is inexpensive, cozy, and serene with a “bright fire burning in the hearth”. The story takes place in the 1950’s-1960’s, and the main characters are Billy Weaver and the landlady. The conflict begins when Billy thinks the landlady is sweet and motherly, when she is really trying to kill him and taxidermy him, or so we think. The resolution takes place when he drinks tea she made him, but it tastes like bitter almonds, which strongly suggests poison. So, it reminded me of the theme, don’t judge a book by its cover. The landlady always expresses zeal, or interest in killing the two boys.
