But suddenly everything changes when his brother Darius, is accused of being a terrorist. Kamran and a couple of other CIA agents go on a dangerous mission to save Darius from being used as a threat to the United Sstates. Many people believe that Kamran’s brother, Darius is actually a terrorist, but Kamran Kamaran helps prove those people wrong by saving his brother and thousands of lives.
The conflict of the story “The Fighter”, written by Walter Dean Myers, is that Billy Giles is having trouble with some things such as money issues. Billy Giles does not have a lot of money so he has to fight and box to get paid. His wife Johnnie Mae does not want him fighting so he has to keep the pride to stay in the fight without his wife finding out. In the beginning of the story the text states, “Billy Giles told his wife that he was going to the gym to work out. If he told her the truth, that he was going to fight again, he knew she would have cried” (27).
The First Decision Reef, the main character in the novel, The First Stone, by Don Aker, makes a bad decision and ultimately has to deal with the consequences. To begin, Reef latches his anger onto a stone and deliberately throws it over an overpass into oncoming traffic. The stone causes a major accident between not one, but several cars and severely injures a teenage girl. Fortunately for Reef, the Judge sentences him to live at North Hills Group Home, and to volunteer at a rehabilitation centre. This punishment changes Reef’s life for the better.
John Hardwig is a professor at East Tennessee State University teaching philosophy and medical ethics. The thesis of his article is “I feel strongly that I may very well someday have a duty to die.” He makes the case that many older people and young people say that they do not want to be a burden to their family once their illness comes to full-time care. In the novel The First Stone, by Don Aker, a young teen by the name Chad “Reef” Kennedy finds himself in a tough situation and his sentencing is being in rehab and doing community service. Reef is responsible for putting Leeza a young girl, in the hospital because of his actions. Since he is in rehab, many people wished he went to jail.
In this passage “THE GLASS CASTLE” by Jeannette Walls, it's a remarkable memoir of Jeannette and her family lives. The novel begins when Jeannette was three years old and she was making hot dogs and caught herself on fire. She ends up having 2nd degree burns and had to get a skin graft. Jeannette uses characterization so the readers can know about her and her family and how odd they were. Even though her parents always did something bad they always made something out of nothing.

Throughout AVI’s nothing but the truth, Philip Malloy and his narrow minded attitude bounces from wanting to be a part of the track team to becoming allies with his homeroom teacher, Miss Narwin.
