Addiction Incorporated tells the true story of the former research scientist to a major tobacco company, Victor DeNoble. In the film, Victor recounts of how he was hired by the major company to find a substitute for nicotine that would cause less heart attacks and strokes to smokers. He succeeds with the finding of a new substitute for nicotine; But while looking for the substitute, he concluded that cigarettes were addictive – Something that the major company had been denying to the public for years.
