While I have never competed in a combat sport or have been a fan of combat sports, the concept always fascinated me. Thousands of people will pay money to go to an arena and see two people do their best to harm the other person. While there have been many forms of combat sports throughout history, the Roman gladiators have been the most famous example of it. They have been depicted in countless movies and TV shows as these intense battles between great warriors, and I chose this topic because I was interested in learning more about one possible source of combat sports today.

In Skim the first area in the composition noticed is the contrast between lights and darks, the black gutters on some pages, the frameless panels, and cropped images. Each opening chapter or part is a double page spread that introduces you to the next section or diary entry. Skim is about a teenage girl named Kimberly, aka Skim writing in her diary. The story line is redundant of a teenager girl looking for love, trying to fit in, with self-image and self-esteem issues.

The science-fiction movie The Matrix, Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave”, and Golden-Globe award winning film The Truman Show all have the same underlying theme of escaping an artificial reality. “The Allegory of the Cave” is a dialogue that criticizes human perception. In the dialogue, prisoners draw a parallel between the dwellers in the cave who believe the shadows on the walls are real to humans who believe in perceptions based on empirical knowledge.
The 2007 film Hitman had "gaming-like” features in many ways. In both the film and the game, the missions are set up in such a way so that Agent 47 can their attack the enemy with gun blazing or strategically planning out a standard method of killing in order to make it look like an accident. In both the film and the movie, Agent 47 uses a whole variety of guns, pistols, rifles, swords, explosives, and poisons. In today’s world, technology has been applied in people’s lives either as socialization or as a working tool.
In this technological age, use of machines and systems is rapidly replacing more traditional means. Take for instance, computer generated imagery, otherwise known as CGI (insert cited definition here). Computer generated imagery is prevalent in a vast amount of the visuals we humans are exposed to, regardless of whether we realize it or not. It has had such a tremendous impact on different industries, such as design, manufacturing, entertainment, business and education. Under the category of entertainment, an example of use of computer generated imagery is that of its use in the video production industry, which includes film, television, music videos and visual advertisements.
