The Minotaur and the Labyrinth-The story of Daedalus and Icarus

In Greek mythology there is a great inventor named Daedalus. “Daedalus, in Greek mythology, architect and inventor who designed for King Minos of Crete the labyrinth in which was imprisoned the Minotaur.” (1) This Labyrinth was located under King Minos of Crete’ court. The reason that the Minotaur was put in the Labyrinth was because King Minos was embarrassed that it was his half son. He was his half son because his wife, Pasifae, was impregnated by a bull that was sent from zeus, thus the bull-man hybrid was born and put into the labyrinth. Icarus was also warned not to fly too high as the sun would melt the glue and the wings would fall apart. Once they got the chance and got the wings in the air Icarus felt free and joyous so he was flying all over the sky. His father warned him once again to not fly to close to either sky or ocean, yet Icarus did not listen and flew too close to the sun which made his wings fall apart, thus sending him plummeting into the ocean. The way that this story and theme can, and will, be implemented is that the Labyrinth can be used as the setting/board, the Minotaur can be trying to stop the players from reaching their goal and the players can be Icarus/Daedalus, Ariadne, and Thesus. The wings that Daedalus made, along with the string, can be used as items that will help your quest in reaching your end
