Throughout the book, Where The Red Fern Grows, character's actions are constantly affecting each other. However, the grandfather is one character that is unique in a way that he impacts others in ways others are not able to. The grandfather's actions mainly affect others in positive ways. Two examples of this are when he gives Billy, the protagonist, his own tricks for catching raccoons on pages 55 and 87. By doing this he helps ensure Billy's success with his hunting hounds.
The main characters are Lina mayfleet, doon harrow, mayor cole, looper windly, and granny. Lina mayfleet loves to run and hopes to become a messenger and draws about how the outside world might look like, she also must take care of her sister poppy. Doon harrow is serious and usually focusing on important tasks and loves bugs but has anger problems. Mayor cole is a greedy person who hordes all the food supplies of the city and is mean, hypocritical, and abuses power. Looper windly is a sketchy guy and keeps things to himself.
When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, many lives were lost. There were 2,335 deaths and many more were injured. In the novel, Under the Blood-Red Sun, Graham Salisbury tells about a Japanese boy who lived through Pearl Harbor which was one of the worst days in American history. The author taught the reader about bravery, different customs of the Japanese people, and not to judge people based on their race. We often encourage people to actively pursue their happiness while also wanting to discourage them to escape from reality. However, avoiding your issues is also a way of pursuing happiness, even though this route will prove to be temporary. In the literary piece, “Horses of the Night” by Margaret Laurence, the author describes the story of a boy named Chris, who, due to his financial conditions, is forced to move from his home in Shallow Creek to dwell in Manawaka, in order to attend high school. Chris’ character is used to demonstrate the idea that individuals may escape from the miserable aspects of their lives in order to stay happy. Through the course of this work, you witness the changes Chris undergoes, through the eyes of his six-year-old cousin Vanessa, which ultimately lead to his downfall.
Uncle Tom is a middle aged man whose wife and children work on the farm with him. He is described as being a man who is a long-suffering, brave, head strong in his faith Christian man. He is a hard worker who stands up for what he believes. Harry is the son of Eliza. Eliza is Mrs. Shelby’s maid who is described as being a bright and a beautiful, brilliant slave.
Throughout “All the Pretty Horses” by Cormac McCarthy, the main character John Grady Cole is submitted to many evils as he tries to find his own place in the world. In his own personal quest for a happy ending, John represents the idealized cowboy of the Old Wild West uncovering the truth of the violent and deadly landscape he encounters. John Grady attempts to mesh together his romanticised cowboy honor code into a land that concedes nothing to nobility and the only winner is the one who survives. Only through his many trials and beatings does John Grady begin to accept the world for what it is, a place that does not contain only pretty horses; however, he still manages to remain true to himself and what he believes in. From the beginning of “All the Pretty Horses,” John Grady Cole faces threats from the modern world towards the cowboy life he admires so much.
Main characters of films and short stories are evolving tremendously, from their actions to their character traits. In the thriller short story “All the Kings Horses” by Kurt Vonnegut, the main character portrays himself as an excellent and intelligent individual. Reason being in the short story Kelly was placed in a really bad situation. However because of specific reasons; his actions, determination, and sacrifices he was able to get the result he wanted while being under so much pressure. Colonel Bryan Kelly, father of two and husband to one, had to play a life or death game of chess.
Multiple characters in the novel The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton has instances where they feel like an outsider in their own group. Throughout the story, three characters, especially, do not fit into their group: Ponyboy, Johnny, and Darry. Ponyboy is one of the best examples of a character who is considered an outsider.

The novels The Pearl and Red Pony by John Steinbeck are similar to each other in portraying human strength and greed in life. In the novel Red Pony, Jody (the main character) is given a beautiful red pony by his father which he loves and can’t wait to show off. He takes very good care of him and trains him. In the novel The Pearl, Kino (the main character) finds a very valuable pearl and does anything in his power to keep it safe.
Summary: In my rewrite of Romeo and Juliet, The Great Pink Sky follows the modern day issues of cultural bashing. Set in the modern day Anaheim, California, both Reed and Jillian face a cultural boundary that’s caused by Reed’s conservative parents that believe in the white traditions. Brought together by the school’s orchestra, Reed and Jillian become more and more close as senior year passes and is starting to come to a close. Reed, played by Asa Butterfield, is a seventeen year old boy who is looking for the right girl for prom.
Before i start for those who don't know My little pony: Friendship is magic is a children's animated fantasy televirion series produced by Hasbro studios and DHX Media Vancouver. The series is based on Hasbro's My little pony line of toys and animated works and is often referred by collectors to be the fourth generation or "G4" of the My Little Pony franchise. The series premiered on October 10, 2010, on The Hub Cable channel. Hasbro selected animator Lauren Faust as the creative director and executive producer for the show. Faust sought to challenge the established nature of the existing My Little Pony line, creating more in-depth characters and adventurous settings.
