In short stories the author’s use of intentional time makes a dramatic impact to the story as a whole. Due to the fact being if “The Most Dangerous Game” and “A Rose for Emily” weren’t taken place back in the olden days and now because Emily and Zaroff would not have gotten away with the things they were essentially getting away with.
