How would you feel if one of your friends planned an entire heist to murder you and inherit your money? Maybe you wouldn’t even know it. Max Powers didn’t, he was murdered by one of his friends just to inherit his money. After going through all of the motives, the testimonies, and the physical evidence, Scanning and analyzing the details, it is clear that Chloe Goode is Max Powers’ killer.
First, the motives, why Chloe would want to murder Max. Chloe’s main motive to kill Max was the money. She and 3 others (Ray, Beverly, and Dez) “were all named equally in his will” (Preliminary Report). When he died, they would all inherit and split his riches, “Max inherited a considerable amount of money, a net worth f 12.4 million to be exact” (Preliminary Report). Because of this, by killing him she would get 3.1 million dollars. If she could frame the others that were listed in the will, she could take all 12.4 million dollars for herself. Reasons to believe Chloe was at the scene. First, her fingerprints were found on a chair at the crime scene. (Forensic Report). This means that she was at the crime scene at one point. Another evidence leading to Chloe as the murderer is the fake blood she made. Chloe says she’s an artist “My name is chloe and i am an artist” (Suspect Case File). This shows that it would be very easy for her to make a blood-like substance using paint. By doing this, she was trying to frame the others so she could get take of the money for herself. There was also white powder found on her tennis shoes (Suspect case file). This could have been an ingredient in the fake blood. More proof that she was at the crime scene is the cotton found at the scene. Chloe was wearing a cotton shirt the day of the murder (Forensic Report). This is why it is believed that Chloe was indeed at the crime
