After warnings about the bad intentions that Nazis in Germany had against Jewish the family of Wiesel and other Jewish in the city of Sighet decided to remain in the city. In a concentration camp called Auschwitz, Ellie gets separated from his mother and older sister but staying with his father. Ellie fights to survive hunger and abuse while having to face the destruction of his faith in god. He is forced to a situation where he does not know whether to support his father who kept on getting sicker and weaker or to give himself the opportunity to live.
The Holocaust is the mass murder of Jews under the German Nazi regime during the period 1941–45. More than 6 million European Jews, as well as members of other persecuted groups, such as gypsies and homosexuals, were murdered. Anne Frank was a young girl who had to live in a secret annex with her family starting July 6Th. The Van Pels family joins them a week later. The two families already know each other: Otto Frank and Hermann Van Pels are business partners.
The play version of The Diary of Anne Frank tells the story of Anne and her family trying to survive the Holocaust. In this play Anne and the others are locked in an attic so the Nazis will not find them. In a similar book Night written by Elie Wiesel tells us about how he survived the concentration camp during the Holocaust. In Night Elie and his father are tortured, beaten, and starved by the Nazis but Elie miraculously survived. Although Elie and Anne have different views on religion, both have are sent to concentration camps and have a close relationship with his father.
The memoir Night was written by Marion Wiesel he routes the traumatic experiences he went through at the Holocaust. The Holocaust happened between the years 1933 and 1945. The Holocaust was created by Hitler and he wanted to “exterminate” the jews race by sending them to concentration camps and torturing them. In Chapter 1 a bunch of foreigner jews were was taken to a concentration camp in the middle of the forest and and they got tortured the dug a huge hole then when they were done digging the hole they would line them up and shoot them one by one and they threw baby’s
There were over 23 concentration camps that killed Jews over the course of the Holocaust, Over 6 million Jews died. In the book “Night” by Elie Wiesel he shares his traumatic experience during the holocaust and how he and his dad navigated concentration camps. In comparison Anne Frank's “The diary of a young girl” talks about how she and her family had a safe place to hide while others were dying. In both books we can see that the main character's environment shapes their behaviors and beliefs, Even though both characters went through the holocaust differently they were still both highly affected.
Wiesel wrote Night to provide the future generations with an account of the Holocaust so that the future would never forget one of the most terrible acts that humans have committed in recorded history. One of the many ideas that Wiesel covers in his novel is the idea that ignorance is dangerous. The first time this occurs is when Moshe the Beadle is trying to tell the townspeople to leave because there is great danger, but in the book “[The] people not only refused to believe his tales, the refused to listen. ”(Wiesel, 7) The people (mainly the Jews) were ignorant of the Holocaust previously, and had no idea what things had befallen hundreds of thousands of Jews during the war.
In the novel, “Night” written by Elie Wiesel, Elie shares his most personal memories of the Holocaust, which he experienced directly; during the holocaust he lost his family and many friends. The Nazis had issues with the Jews only because they were in different and did not have the same traits as everyone else. The German Nazis dehumanized the Jews by starving them of food and water but most of all the Nazis took away their rights as citizens. When Wiesel first arrived at the concentration camp and saw all the walking skeletons, Elie did not want to believe that what he was seeing was real. He wanted to believe that he might be dreaming a horrible nightmare.
In a span of 10 years, the Holocaust killed over 7 million people, that’s just as much as the population of Hong Kong. In the book Night, by Elie Wiesel, Wiesel shares his experience on how he survived the Holocaust and what he went through. How he dealt with the horrors and even to how he felt of his dad’s death and how he saw himself after it was all over. As he tried to publish it he was constantly turned down due to the fact of how horrid and truful it was. He still tried and tried until it was finally published.
I am going to talk about what disturbs me about Anne Franks story and the holocaust and what good came from Annes story join me if you want to on my journey. What is disturbing is that the Franks had to go into hiding and just a couple days before jews were disappearing and that the Franks protectors Miep and Mr.Kraler could face the same punishment for hiding them as if they were also jews. During this time, Adolf Hitler was in power and Jews were being persecuted and killed. The Jewish people of Germany did the unthinkable; furthermore, they hid anywhere they possibly could. Anne Frank hid in an annex in her father’s office, other ran away to different countries, some even hid in the walls. Subsequently, the soldiers came to their hiding spots, and when they did, and the children cried, the parents took the blame so that their children could survive. So that their children could have better lives, they gave up theirs.
“Night” by Elie Weisel is among one of the most widely known and accurate depictions of the holocaust. Within this story, Weisel gives uses a narrator named Elizer to tell accounts of what the Jewish people went through at the hands of Hitler. The title “Night” refers to the darkness of mind, soul and life that was experienced by the millions who suffered in Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust and World War II. Another example of an accurate depiction of the Holocaust and World War II is that of Anne Frank. Within “The Diary of Anne Frank” displays the diary that Anne wrote during her two years of hiding.
This story is abut a girl that was writing her daily days while she was in the holocaust She was venting her fears and frustrations, and contemplating her everyday life. She was given the diary as a present from her parents in 1942, and named it Kitty. Through her diary writing, Anne Frank was in many ways her own counsellor in a time of great suffering and tribulation. She realized that writing down her thoughts and feelings could help her cope with the anxiety of the war and Nazi persecution.

Anne Frank was speaking the truth when she wrote in her diary. She went into deep conversation, when she wrote in her diary. Sadly she never survived Auschwitz to tell her story in real life. If Anne survived the war I think it would have been better, she would have been able to tell her story in real life and explain any questions that we may or might have about her life and her time in Auschwitz.
