“The Newsies” is a musical by Harvey Fierstein made in April 10, 1992. The main character is Jack Kelly played by Christian Bale. Jack Kelly is a strong tall boy who can convinced the other Newsies to listen to him and Jack is also a talented artist. His sidekick is Davey who is the brains of the group and he helps create the strike because Pulitzer the guy in charge of the boys, raise the prices of newspapers to 60 cent per newspaper. Davey tells what a strike needs to be and they steps involved to have success in getting what the “union” wants. Pulitzer is played by Robert Duvall, Pulitzer believes that his will win the boys over eventually because he is a powerful business man and controls most of New York City. Then there is Davey little brother who’s name is Les and Jack Kelly teaches him how to sell newspaper and how the newsies operates. Les is a little boy that rides-along Jack side through the whole movie, when Jack is trying to figure out how he will convinced Pultizer to give up, Les pushes the other Newsies boys away and says “ Let him think, he needs he space”. When the boys where barely starting to organize the strike a girl named Katherine help Jack and the Newsies to be published on front page newspaper. Then in a rally this boy who is crippled, named crutchie got capture by Synder and his men. When Jack about give up hope, He agrees to make a deal with Puiltizer. Then the Brooklyn Newsies come and help Jack and the newsies boys. But there were problems along the way, Roosevelt comes into the movie about when it ending and tries to solve the problem, but makes it worse. Do the Newsies boys ever get the prices
