Whilst Ray Bradbury's apocalyptic science fiction novel, “The Martian Chronicles”, incorporates a myriad of cardinal themes that link with several real-world issues, the chapter “November 2005: The Off Season” displays the negative consequences of colonization that best connects to the destructive qualities of humanity on the environment that Charles Wohlforth highlights in his article, “Choosing a Warning Label for Human DNA”. The author questions what would happen to humanity once Earth is ruined, and more explicitly, how we would “reseed” our species, arguing whether or not we would be accepted based on our calamitous nature.
