“The grass dries up and dies, and the flower falls to the ground. But the word of the Lord last forever.” There will never come a time where the word of God will change or come back void. The bible is full of many different messages from God, which are then divided between the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament starts the book off because it was the time before Christ. Being that the Old Testament was before Christ, it consisted of the prediction of the Messiah, and the laws of the Lord being presented and carried through from chosen people. The New Testament reveals who the Messiah is and tells about Jesus’ birth and his walk, it also tells about his crucifixion and resurrection. Although the two testaments are quite divergent, together they complement each other, which is why they are unified into one book. If something was mentioned in the Old Testament is doesn’t change when mentioned again in the New Testament, in fact it becomes utterly sharp. The word remains the same, there are just more things added to enhance the word, or perhaps show scenarios. One topic which was very significant in the Bible is love. (Psalms 107:8) God so loved the world so much that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life.(John3:16) The first quote was taken out of the old testament, while the second one was taken out of the new testament. Although the first quote mentions that God’s love should bring a person much gratitude towards him, it isn’t until the new testament that the love is proven to be beyond anything what he has done before. It mentions how God gave his only son, which is the most a person can sacrifice, their own child, making this sacrifice for the world.
