The third reason was related to the Industrial Revolution and manufacturing of pottery in the North made every day pottery more affordable than handmade
According to our book, the American System is an economic plan based on the idea that the federal government should encourage economic enterprise. The American System was stemmed from young Democratic-Republican who falsely supported Jefferson 's idea of a small federal government but actually preferred a large government. The goal of the new American System was to assist the united States in becoming self-sufficient economically, while spurring massive market growth throughout the nation. The leaders of this group were Henry Clay and John C. Calhoun. They believed that the federal government should encourage economic enterprise in three ways: first, the federal government needed to create roads and canals which would be considered internal
The early Transportation Revolution had a lot to do with this. The Transportation Revolution was a series of transportation innovations that linked local and regional markets, creating a national economy. New inventions such as the steam boat, perfected by Robert Fulton in 1807, created a major boost in domestic trade; this majorly implemented the economy. Also, the Lowell factory system created a way of employment in women and children, helping households by having another source of income, and helping the economy by providing a fairly cheap way to get more factory-made goods that were in high demand. The reason for this continuity is the way these movements created a more stable economy for the country.
The Development of the American Economy Before Henry Clay’s American system, America has been importing goods from outside of the country and only buying goods within their region. Clay’s American system helped America limit buying consumer products from foreign countries and increased the sales of local producers. The post-Civil westward expansion plays an important role in expanding farmlands for agriculture. Large quantities of food supply were available and railroads were used to transport these foods because it was fast, efficient and inexpensive. Henry Clay’s American system and the post-Civil War westward expansion, and the significance of railroads all helped shaped the transition of America’s economy from regional to national economy.
By improving these factors, it was a step toward stable economy and allowed to growth
The same American System that promoted high tariffs on foreign goods, oversaw internal improvements, and created a national bank, also birthed the Market Revolution. The Market Revolution revolutionized how farmers produced goods in America and the redirection of their purchasing habits which transformed the mindset of how farmers viewed their role in the American economy; thus, making them more compliant to commercial and capitalist ideals. Overall, the Market Revolution in America provoked significant changes in America socially, economically, and politically. There were many social changes associated with the Market Revolution.
Everyone had their own ideas in the past, the same way everyone does now. Thing did not always work out the way our ancestors wanted, but sometimes a surprise is just what we needed. So many things were being invented and thought of back then. Industrialization was making a big start and workers needed reforms.
Economic systems provide the framework for a society to properly allocate and distribute resources amongst itself. When multiple systems get interchanged and brought up at the same time in a country, something bad is bound to happen. For America in the 18th century, this was exactly the case. With the long standing planter-slaveholding system causing moral unrest in the country, an industrial capitalist economy quickly emerged. These two systems would divide the country, causing an eventual civil war.
The United States’ economy changed a lot over time, and for different reasons. One of them was America’s growing dependance on other countries. Durning the 20th century, the World Trade Organization was founded. This allowed countries to trade with each other in more ways than before. Standardized containers and free trade played a large part in the advancement of world trade.
Just in the same way the American System of economics was created and implemented, it would open the door for the Market Revolution begin in America. This revolution would cause significant changes to the culture in America, that was influenced by three areas; first, in the way things were transported and communicated; second, changing farming to commercialized farming; and third improving industrialization in the country (Shultz, 2013). With the American System and the Market Revolution would make the American people to regain trust in the economy and would start the expansion of how goods were transported, which also reduce the cost as well. Therefore, canals were built for steam boats to carry goods, roads were built and eventually the
But after the civil war there were many changes which took place in United States and their wealth also increased. After World War II, the United States emerged as economically stable and prosperous country. American companies were growing rapidly and both major parties of World War II were committed for making Economic reforms and keep unemployment low. Therefore the United States led a system was developed called as Bretton Woods system to equally divide the share between the nations. The US dollar was made common currency for trade which made the United States a global leader and it was advantage for United States companies to do trade in their national currency.
We also wanted to make sure that we didn’t throw away our free time, so instead we could make more resources sooner, and then have more free time as the year goes on. As we got closer to the end of the year, we switched to a mixed market economy because we didn 't need the government controlling our resources if we don’t need them for basic needs. Our Island Society would be more socialist in the beginning of our society because we want to focus on making goods for human needs. A few months later we would still have a socialist government because we want to make sure that we give ourselves good support, before spending sources on fun. In the later years, we would have a capitalistic government to have innovations from the free market choices.

In order to compare and contrast varying types of government within two or more countries, one must have a clear definition of Government and know the purposes it serves. Therefore, I did some research and I have established that Government is a group that exercises dominant power over a nation, state, society or other body of people. Governments are commonly responsible for constructing and implementing laws, handling money, and defending the general population from external threats, and may have other obligations or privileges. All over the world, there are many different types of government within countries. Each kind has its advantages as well as disadvantages regarding the general well-being of its peoples and economy.
INTRODUCTION An economic system is defined by the various processes of organizing and motivating labour, producing, distributing, and circulating of the resultant of human labour, such as merchandise and services, consumer durables , machines, tools, and other technology used as intake for hereafter production, and the infrastructure within and through which production, apportionment , and circulation occurs. These arrangements are intended by the political, cultural, and environmental conditions which they co-exist together (Gemma; 2014).
