All of the suggestion in the song point to the need to respect others and give them dignity they deserve as fellow human beings. There are several examples of times when this can be applied. The first stanza states “the key is always under the mat”, meaning that there is always a place where the door is open, and where a person can go to feel safe. In these times there are many people who are homeless, we should help work toward producing a place where they can go and feel safe. In the next line it reads “go to church “cause your momma says to”.
Stories are often expressed on how Stalin exiled hundreds of people to the wintery, hell hole known as Siberia: common criminals, Political enemies, or citizens who were disgruntled with the regime were the type of people Stalin would send. The outlaws survived the gulags and their decedents now live in the wasteland they have always known as home. It was another frozen evening in the wintery town of Verkhoyansk, Russia. Verkhoyansk is said to be one of the utmost miserable places on Earth due to its unbearable freezing temperatures; breaking every record besides that of Antarctica, the solitary continent.
The Caribbean is a culturally rich and dynamic region. Linked together by geography and our shared history of colonization and slavery. Through it all we have been seeking our identity. Not truly knowing if we are African, European or slaves. We look African but, adhere to predominantly European cultural norms.
This song has made me fight for what I believe in no matter if I lose some people on my journey. I can connect with this song emotionally not only because of its strong message but what it stands for. In the song Rachel talks about how if no one else believes, she still has a fight left in her. This message makes me feel like I will always have a fight in me no matter how hard life will get. This song is a perfect song for me, because sometimes I forget that my voice matter and it makes me realize that it does
In our culture today it is not uncommon to have a difficult relationship with the loved ones in our lives. In Michele Sponagle 's article, "When the Only Way to Improve a Parental Relationship is to End it," from the Washington Post, she writes about her personal experience with her emotionally abusive father. After years of constantly being reminded of the pain her father caused and the hurtful relationship they shared, Sponagle concludes that the only way to move on in her life was to end ties with her father. In making a compelling argument, Sponagle shows the best way to mend a damaged relationship is by ending it, through her use of logical structure, personal experience, and sound advice.
People come and go in life, but eventually, everyone will find the one that stays and makes them happy. The country song “Sun to Me,” by Zach Bryan is about a speaker who has found someone that brings out the best in them, and makes them a happier person. In the first stanza, the writer introduces that the speaker has found someone that is like the sun to them and brings out the best in them. In the second stanza through the rest of the poem, the speaker continues to emphasize how important the person that he found was to them, and how they make the speaker a better person. In “Sun to Me,” Zach Bryan uses alliteration and metaphors to teach listeners that having someone that brings out the best in them is very beneficial, and everyone can find someone as long as they look hard enough.
Taylor Swift is not only one of the most talented artists in Hollywood, but she is also one of the most generous human beings ever especially when she's passionate and believes in the cause. In this case, the "Bad Blood" superstar is all about girl power and she wants to show her support for Kesha with $250,000 donation amid her court battle with Dr. Luke. The singer had filed a complaint to the company when they didn't do anything even though they knew that producer, Dr. Luke, was mistreating Kesha. "Dr. Luke's proclivity for abusive conduct was open and obvious to [Sony Music Entertainment]
" The song is a gloomy tribute to a woman with eyes "like two jewels in the sky" and a amusing and dominant father. It's full of spirituality and made all the more powerful by the distinct vocals. This is a minor song compared to Hurricane because Hurricane is a big hit. Personally this song didn’t stick out to me like Hurricane did.
The second part of the song is about how a girl was born with her moms habit. Her mom 's habit was that she drank consistently. But then she also asks for forgiveness and gets it. Then she becomes a better person and starts praying.
The moral of this story put into a song is to become a better you, doing everything you’d ever dream of doing. You only live once, so do it right, think about life as a gift. The lyrics in this song describe a man who not only had to face death in the eyes, he made every effort to make a positive turn to it. The song is simply sending a message to the listeners to lead a better life, you never know when it’s going to end. A message to live like you’re dying.
Life's lessons Forgiveness is a life lesson I learned at a very young age. It has empowered me to accept and overcome my disability, to live a productive life, to maintain a close relationship with my father, and has given me the deep desire to help others who find themselves in similar circumstances. Let me explain. At the age of 4, I was injured in an accident involving a riding lawn mower operated by my father Mark.
These lyrics are meaningful to be because it makes me realize how life does change. You cannot take things for granted. Be thankful for the things you have in life. This song makes me understand the pathway of life. Both good and bad events are going to occur in everyone 's life.
