The Outsider is a story to remember. Stick up for your family. Some say a family isn’t important. They don’t realize it until their family is gone. Both the novel and the movie teach valuable lessons in their own way because there are many differences and similarities in both the novel and the movie. In both the movie and the novel there are many similarities. One of them is when Ponyboy and Johnny go to the park. The Socs come and drown Ponyboy and Johnny kills Bob. I believe they chose to keep this in both the novel and the movie because this is the cause of the runaway and the climax of the story. Another similarity is when the Greasers win the rumble. I think the movie chose to keep this in because the winning is the reason that Darry and
