The Outsiders Movie Vs Book

When turning a book into a movie, many things need to be taken into consideration. Including every detail explicitly can be quite difficult for producers and directors, and The Outsiders is no exception. Written by S.E. Hilton, the story follows the Greasers, a group of young kids who face adult situations while they are viewed as menaces to society. While the movie has many similarities to the book and covered the basic storyline, the movie lacked and altered some key details, and featured information differing from the book. As stated before, the movie adaptation of the Outsiders had many things in common with the book by S.E. Hilton. The characters such as the main members of the Greasers, such as Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally, were consistent.
