Loyalty is what keeps relationships together, no matter what type it is. It keeps two people or an entire alliance of nations under an umbrella of honor and respect to work towards a common goal. Analyzing the story more and more, I noticed that
In S.E Hinton's novel, The Outsiders, the author explores the idea that communities of people help each other like family. Johnny's real family acted like he didn't exist, so to him the gang was his family. Without the gang Johnny wouldn't be the the way he is. The gang acted like his family by caring for him, always being there for him, and treating him like a brother. Johnny was loved by the gang more than he thought.

Loyalty has to be earned, not just given away. In The Odyssey, the epic poem by Homer, Odysseus’ crew is steadfastly loyal to him and follow nearly his every direction, even though they are given many reasons not to be.
Honestly what is loyalty? One can’t even begin to define such a word. It’s one single seven letter word yet, it has a deep profound definition. Typically one does not use loyalty until they are put to the test. The test can be anything, like staying loyal to the patriots or staying loyal to your best friend.
Mitch says this during the section named the student. It is important because Mitch finally realizes after his favorite uncle’s death that at some point, life does end. After realizing that Mitch seeks to get his life together and move on with his life. This was a really important event in Mitch’s life because it reminds him to take advantage of each opportunity and to foster good relationships with those around him. He also realizes how he has transformed from an honest, hopeful young man into a money-selfish professional who has abandoned friendship and love and his dreams in exchange for financial security.
In Behind the Veil, Siham is stating that she loves her veil because it makes her a mystery but the veil can mean a different things to different people. a quote from the story that shows that siham loves her veil is “i don't care about you, and i feel nothing for you. i defy you. but i love you too.” (page 6).
Which is why, when Mr.Darcy says “‘She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me (ch.3 pg.15),” we are able to see how people with an ample amount of money stand high above others. This quote was when Elizabeth overheard Mr. Darcy and Mr.Bingley speaking to each other at the ball. At this time, people who significantly had more money than others would be treated a very differently compared to other people. As we can see in the quote, Mr. Darcy feels that he is better than everyone else at the ball because of how rich he seems to be. Families during this time period, would also be divided differently than modern day.
Particularly, in the Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, he shows that growing up is tough, especially for the Greasers. The novel takes place in a modest town in Oklahoma. This was where the “Socs” and “Greasers” were split due to the way the community saw them. The characters are affected by the setting due to style. If they lived any place else they wouldn 't talk the way they do or wear what they wear.
The novel The Outsiders by S.E Hinton is a captivating read which is full of tension and uncertainty as to what is about to occur next. It was also extremely upsetting and heartwarming at times. S.E. Hinton was just seventeen years old when she wrote it which is really impressive. This book contains a very strong message that shows us how people really are. At age 17 S.E. Hinton was very smart and observing because the message that she sends is something you'd expect from someone older.

A outsider is someone who doesn't fit in with the crowed or a particular group of people, and that’s exactly what happen in this story about a young boy and friends that run into alot of trouble because who they are and because of the circumstance that they live in and because they are greaser and for those who may not know greaser are more like the poor kids. The kid end up running away and struggling on their own and really feel like “The Outsides”. A young boy name pony and his friends run off because pony got into a physical argument with his older brother while pony went to clear his mind he end up running into trouble.
In fact as a result to being loyal you become closer to your family and friends. “I had to they were drowning you Ponyboy. They might have killed you. “-said Johnny in The Outsiders. Johnny values loyalty over everything else.
