Today society struggles with the resistance of temptation, but continues to grow with the strength of devotion and loyalty. In today’s society there is a constant struggle with a consistent weakness when it comes to temptation. Men and women today are too easily lead astray when they get the chance to go down the easier road, or when they get the chance to get something they want. In the bible a consistent amount of stories have a bad ending due to the fact of this trait. For example, in the classic story of Adam and Eve, Eve is unable to resist the snake's temptation. The snake tells Eve to eat the fruit on the tree that God specifically told her and Adam not to touch. The snake told Eve, God was keeping the wisdom the fruit gives people from Adam and her. Eve believed the snake’s lies, and ate the fruit. The fruit then changed her view on Adam for the worse, making her uncomfortable around him. When God came to visit he was angry to see that Eve and Adam had disobeyed him, and he punished them for their actions. Their punishment ultimately affected the rest of mankind. …show more content…

The human population usually does a good job at remaining devout and loyal to their family and friends. No one is saying that everyone is loyal because not everyone is. However, society does a good job at being there for one another. In the story of John and Satan (Jobs 1-3 and 40-42) John does an amazing job at staying completely devoted to God and loyal to God even though God is putting him through horrible events. God allowed Satan to kill John’s family, take John’s animals, and more.
