The author took human nature into account when writing this book because she made the characters realistic in the way that they have flaws. One of these common flaws that the characters shared was the fact that they all wore masks. Percy is the main character in this novel and when you read about him, you get the impression that he's pretty stupid.

“The Glass Castle” is a biography, drama written by Destin Daniel Cretton; it portrays a young girl (Jeanette Walls) and her family as they struggle in poverty stricken towns with a mother who is an eccentric artist and her alcoholic father who she blindly puts her faith in. The film was released on August 11, 2017 and features Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson, and Naomi Watts among others. The big question, “What do I think about “The Glass Castle” film? The film was dissatisfying overall, I did not feel same emotional attachment that I felt with the book. They did not show enough of Jeanette and Rex’s connection to each other.

Him and his family lived a normal life but in 1918 was when he would no longer live that life when Hitler and the Nazis invaded Warsaw and sent all Jews to the ghetto then to bring them to concentration camps killing them with gas. However, some of the kids went through holes in the walls joining partisan camps to sabotage the Nazis. Thankfully he survived though the unspeakable and unimaginable challenges

This is the case in “Vaclav and Lena” by Hayley Tanner, where the main characters Vaclav and Lena face many obstacles, but use their imaginations to help them deal with the struggles they face in reality. This relates to the quote “Imagination is the one weapon in the in the war against reality” by Jules de Gautier, because Vaclav and Lena use their imaginations and dreams of better things to come, to ignore the problems they currently face. Vaclav and Lena use their imaginations and dreams of the future to forget about their issues momentarily, and to be able to postpone dealing with them.
The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau is about two kids Lina Mayfleet and Donn Harrow, who fight for survival in hopes to save their city from collapsing and destruction. The city was built because Earth was unsuitable to live in and would destroy all human civilization because natural disasters kept occurring. The City of Ember was built to protect the surviving people with a box timed at the exact date to open with instructions of how to leave in 200 years in the majors hands. Over years of generations of people in Ember, the box gets lost over time and is unable to give it to the next Mayor. It just so happens that Lina is related to the seventh major of Ember and that's when then box with the instructions went missing after he suddenly died.
My book is called A Child Called “It” by Dave Pelzer. It has 182 pages, all of which are full of sadness. The genre is an autobiography of Dave Pelzer’s abusive childhood. My book is a terrifying story of a mother who used to be loving, but became abusive because of alcohol. She took out her anger on Dave, her youngest son.
The Glass Castle is about four children and their mom and dad, who struggle to get by. They go from day to day with little food and barely a roof over their heads. In this book, it shows how children overcome little guidance and abusive parents while growing up. Jaennette introduces us to her father in the beginning of the book, Rex Walls. He is a father who can't provide for his family because he can't keep a job and focuses more on himself than his children or wife.

Extended out to most children is the hand of a parent offering a warm hug along with warnings of danger to their children. This is what any fit parent would do. However this is not always the case with all parents. For example in the memoir The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, Rose Mary and Rex Walls are not fit to be parents because they don’t give their children what they need and have an unstable relationship. Jeannette and her siblings live off of what their parents can afford when they have sufficient money but they don’t use it to give them what they need.
Dreams, contrary to popular belief, are terrible. The best thing to do, is to stop chasing dreams because all dreams do is distract people from more important responsibilities. People spend their time chasing their dreams, but they don’t perform their day to day tasks they need to survive on their own.
